Introduction
The current format of the club league continues to be very successful
and so remains unchanged for the new year. However, there will now be 2 different classes available, 27T stock and open modified. The two leagues will run alongside each other but points cannot be transferred from one league to the other so make sure you choose wisely.
As previously, it will be split into two legs each consisting of either
11 or 12 meetings and your two worst scores will be dropped from your
total (after 3 rounds have been completed).
Restrictions
Since the league table is calculated from the results of club meetings,
the
normal rules apply. For more details of how we run a club meeting see
The Club (nav will appear at top of page).
Scoring
Points will be awarded as follows;
1st place in A final: 100 points, 2nd place: 99
points, 3rd place: 98 points and so on down to the last driver
on the night. This way, the points for holding any particular position
are consistant regardless of how many drivers turn up on the night.
Handicaps
Each driver which took part in the last league is been given a handicap
as follows;
All of your points from the final league table have been added-up and
an average calculated. This is then subtracted from the maximum possible
number of points (100) to give you a handicap.
e.g.
If your total points were 654 and you competed in 7 events, giving an
average of 93.4 (to one decimal place).
So, your handicap is 100-93.4 = 6.6. Got it?
Now, if when you next race you score 92 points then your handicap score
will be 92+6.6 = 98.6. Simple!
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for the winners of the main table and the
handicap table. So remember, in order to succeed in the handicap league
table, you don't have be an A-finalist, you just have to improve well
on your final standing from the last league.
Anyone who takes part in a club meeting will appear in the main league
table, but if you didn't take part in the last league, then you won't
have a handicap score to compete in the handicap event.
